The End of A Perfect Weekend

This past week I was filled with so many emotions; happiness, sorrow and perfect peace. I received a call from my big sister Pat last week.  I could tell from the tone of her voice that she was quite upset.  She said that one of sister friends had been rushed from Victorville to Las Vegas for emergency […]

Sunday Gourmet Cheeseburgers……

Yesterday I posted “Perfect Sunday with my Sister Friends.”  We really enjoyed our Happy Hour/Gourmet Cheeseburgers party.  Here’s how I made our delicious Gourmet Cheeseburgers. I started off with 2 1/2 lb. chuck roast that I cut into small cubes and 4 thick slices of Applewood Bacon I used the meat grinding attachment on my Kitchen Aide mixer.  I added the […]

How to save tomato paste and your $$’s

Whenever I find tomato paste on sale I stock up on it.  I would rather pay 49 cents per can than $5.00 for a tube of tomato paste. I know people like those over-priced tubes of tomato paste for the convenience. Personally I can’t make myself pay that much for a tube of tomato paste. How many times have you purchased a […]

On this day August 14, 2010……..

On this day, August 14, 2010, Jerry and I catered a very special luncheon.  All thanks to GOD, we had lots of help from our dear friends from church.  This luncheon was hosted at Fire Station 53 in North Las Vegas, Nevada. At this luncheon we fed 75-80 very hungry fire fighters,  the Fire Chief, administrative staff, and other supporting staff members.
