Sophie’s Training Day #6

Today was Sophie’s training day #6.  She really enjoys her iFetch toy.  Non-verbal communication was part of the training today.   All I did was point at the iFetch unit and she dropped the ball in.  Halfway through the training, Sophie decided to do things HER way.  She decided to jump up on the couch and play with the ball, instead of dropping it where it was suppose to go.  After a little coaxing I managed to get the ball away from her.  I threw the ball across the room so she would have to go and “fetch it.”  That maneuver seemed to get her back in the mindset of playing with her toy.  Sophie can be stubborn at times but I won the argument today LOL……..  Todays Score:  Mom = 1  Sophie = 0.

I did not give Sophie treats during the training exercise. I did have a treat in my hand and, I would let her see it and smell it to keep her motivated about the training. After her training she was rewarded with a big hug, lots of “good girl” praise and a bowl full of her favorite treats!
