About Josie Roed

DSCN6010

When I am not cooking I am working in my business – Life’s a Stitch Embroidery & Digitizing, a commercial embroidery shop.

My cooking history started over 58 years ago. As a kid, I would get on my step stool and cook my own oatmeal. I can’t remember the taste of the oatmeal – guess it wasn’t that memorable. I do remember my grandmother freaking out the first time she saw me at the stove cooking in my pajamas – I was about 4 years old!

I have always had a passion for cooking and have carried that passion into my adult life. I published my first cookbook in 2011 – “The Roed to Good Cooking” by Josie Roed. My cookbook was a labor of love. People ask me all the time, “What type of food do you feature in your cookbook?” My reply, “It’s just good cooking – food that warms your soul”. I am looking forward to sharing some of my favorite recipes with all of you. Food is what brings people together. There’s nothing better than sharing a great home cooked meal with family and good friends.

Happy cooking and thanks for stopping by my blog!
