Gym Day…….It hurt so good!

Who said exercising “hurt so good?”  Well today I would like to strangled that person who said that! I am sore as heck today and the funny thing is I was fine yesterday.  I had a spring in my step, no sore muscles and energy all day.  Today was a different story ugh!  I rolled out of bed this morning with sore muscles.  I thought about crawling back into bed but decided that would not be a good idea.

I took my sore body to the gym this morning did my warm-up then headed upstairs for my weight training.  Going upstairs was a real challenge because everything was aching.  There was this body builder type guy behind me coming upstairs and I offered him $20 if he would carry me upstairs.  He laughed at my attempt of humor and kept on moving (really fast) up the stairs. He was probably thinking, “I gotta get away from this crazy-slow-moving woman!” What he didn’t realize is I was totally serious lol.  My legs (and knees) were aching so dang bad I would have paid him in cash with a tip! LOL….

I finally arrived upstairs, pulled my work-out sheet out of my fanny pack and started with a few arm weights just to work some of the soreness out.  Today was actually leg workout day.  Here’s a few pics of my leg weight training.

I did 4 sets of 25 sit-ups (that was 100 sit-ups!) This is what I looked like after the last set and it wasn’t pretty!!! LOL

I ended my workout with 10 minutes on the elliptical and had one of those “LOL and sad moments”  I started to remember how me and Jerry would workout on the elliptical machines side-by-side. I would be working out at a speed of 3.4 and Jerry would be huffing and puffing racing at a high speed like his clothes was on fire!  At times it looked like he was going to take flight!  I would ask him, “Babe why are you going so fast?” Jerry would reply, “I want to get this crap over with!”

I arrived home 2 hours later to a very excited Sophie.  We went to her favorite park and walked. I will be making a visit to the Jacuzzi this afternoon…………………for sure!!!

    Just remember to proud of yourself for having the strength to do this! Look in the mirror. Congratulate yourself!

    Not to belittle your efforts ….I tell everyone I do weight training every day simply by moving my fat butt out of the bed. I also tell everyone that I walk to work. Create one image in their minds somewhat different than the walk down the hall to my desk. LOL I admire you. Sisterly, Claudia

    Great job! I admire your get up and go but be careful in the beginning.
